BMW X5 2012 crossover SUV is a midsize luxury five places. An optional third-row bench adds two more seats, although they are quite small. Like most of the interior of the BMW X5 is elegant but sturdy construction, durable and quality materials. The front seats are well shaped and adjust a variety of body types (optional comfort seats offer even greater control). Booth 2012 X5 is not without drawbacks, however. The second-row seats are mounted a little ‘too low on the floor, although headroom is ample. The long legs of the passengers are likely to complain of this sitting position, because it forces the knees up. An optional third row is still limited and really only accommodate children. When both rows folded, cargo space of 75 cubic feet, about average for this category.

2012 X5 and all models are four-wheel drive, but buyers can choose from three available engines. XDrive35i is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 ??that produces 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. Both the engine and the xDrive50i comes standard with eight-speed automatic. According to BMW, 35I will go from zero to 60 mph 6.4 seconds. The EPA-estimated 16 mpg city/23 consumption registers mpg highway and 19 mpg in combined driving. The X5 xDrive50i gets a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 produces 400 horsepower and a robust 450 lb-ft of torque. It will run 0-60 in 5.3 seconds and returns a fuel consumption rating of less efficient economy 14/20/16 mpg.

The 2012 BMW X5 is one of the best handling crosses all midsize luxury. Whether driving on roads or in an endless stretch of the interstate, the X5 is a champion. Some competitors offer more services and off-road capabilities, but cleverly exploits the BMW X5 SUV brings the legendary driving in the sand. You will find great height and narrow roads considerable curb weight, though. Engine performance is strong across the range, even with the base six-cylinder.
